Figures released from the manufacturer this week indicate the multimedia smartphone was able to generate over a million pre-order enquiries ahead of its launch.
LG also said the Arena – which was announced in March this year – has now sold around 300,000 units across Europe within the first month of its availability.
One of the main reasons the gadget has been such a success, the firm added, was the inclusion of the award-winning integrated user interface (UI).
Jeremy Newing, head of marketing at the firm in the UK, commented: “LG’s intuitive 3D S-Class UI is fast and dynamic, delivering a sense of fun and interaction not found on any other mobile platform.”
Last month, it was announced the system had been chosen for a gold-standard accolade as part of the iF Communication Design Awards.
