Fans of social networking site Facebook may be at the front of the queue to trade-in their mobile phone and sign up to a deal with the network Three.
That is because the firm is now offering free mobile browsing on the new 0.facebook.com website – a super-fast way to view the portal.
Three is sponsoring the light version of the site, which features no graphics or pictures so that it can run quickly on mobile devices.
As such, its customers can access it and update their status, communicate with friends and view events for no extra charge.
Charlotte Blanchard, director of products and services at Three, says: “We want to make the mobile internet easy and affordable for everyone. We are delighted to work with Facebook to bring one of the most visited mobile websites to our customers for free.”
The network recently announced it is to stock the Nokia C7, due for release later this year, which features the latest communication tools.
