There may never be a better reason to trade in mobiles and switch to an Apple iPhone now the revolutionary device offers the opportunity to use communications tool Skype.
Skype WiFi has been released on the iOS platform and is now available via the US manufacturer's popular App Store.
Confirming the news on its official blog, Skype said consumers can use the app to go online via Wi-Fi spots and talk to friends and family.
Handset owners are encouraged to top up their Skype Credit, which will only be used for the minutes they are actually connected.
The blog described the tool as a “must-have” for travellers, as it provides an affordable way to stay in touch with loved ones and update them on a foreign adventure.
According to a recent report by DigiTimes, the number of iPhones sold in 2011 is set to hit 95 million across the world.
