Many people are soon to be faced with a dilemma – stick with their current handset or sell a mobile and invest in the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
The Google Mobile Blog has confirmed the device is now available in the US and one of the next nations it is due to be rolled out in is Australia.
As the first model to feature the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, it is sure to be a popular choice wherever it is released.
The Galaxy Nexus also boasts a super-slim design, a lightning-fast dual-core processor and a 4.65-inch contour display screen, the blog noted.
It went on to describe it as “simple and beautiful”, with its camera, zero-shutter lag and Live Effects tool coming together to create top-quality images.
The Roy Morgan State of the Nation Report 9 recently revealed 88 per cent of the country's population are now using a mobile, so the Galaxy Nexus has a large potential audience.
