By recycling old mobile phones customers can help themselves during the financial downturn.
At least this is the suggestion of a new article on treocentral.com, which referred to one campaign being run by US mobile phone provider Sprint as not only being able to help the environment, but give people a boost financially too.
“These days, every little bit helps,” it stated.
The article claimed that mobile phone recycling could prove particularly helpful to those looking to upgrade their handsets.
According to figures cited in the piece, 90 per cent of consumers have at least one old mobile phone lying around their house unused.
Recycling websites such as Mazuma Mobile offer consumers cash in exchange for old mobile phones, regardless of whether they are in working order or broken.
