People who recycle mobile phones have the option of putting the money gained from this towards investing in a smartphone.
However, far from a hefty upfront fee and substantial monthly contract, they can do so for only £15 a month thanks to a new offer from Three.
The network has confirmed it is to offer five of the UK's favourite smartphones at affordable rates.
Among the devices available to those who take up the deal are a trio of Samsung models – the Galaxy Ace, Galaxy S and Galaxy SII – as well as the HTC Sensation and HTC Desire S.
William Ripley, director of voice at Three, said: “Smartphone adoption is increasing at a rapid rate and Android is proving popular due to the great value, variety of manufacturers and choice of form and function it offers.”
Samsung enjoyed a particularly successful second quarter of 2011, shipping 19 million phones around the world, according to the latest data from ABI Research.
